Health and Social Care Services are conducting a consultation on the future of a new Health and Social Care Strategy and this will give you an opportunity to comment. There are to be a number of public meetings, please see the schedule and news release below.

Help shape the future of health and social care services

We are all aware of the challenges facing the Island’s health and social care services from growing demand against finite resources.  Addressing these challenges through the Island’s new health and social care strategy represents the biggest change to these services for a generation.

All of us in the Isle of Man have a stake in our health and social care services and their future, so it’s crucial that the Department of Health and Social Care engages as widely as possible as work to implement the strategy begins.

With this in the mind, the Department will be running a series of public roadshows across the Island over the next few weeks.

Our strategy will guide us over a five year period, but it covers what we want to achieve at a high level.  Everyone that I have talked to is interested in more detailed plans, and this is what we will start to cover at the five roadshows detailed below.

I would like to invite and encourage you, your family and your friends to come along.

As well as the chance to hear more about the strategy, we want you and the wider public to have the opportunity to put forward your ideas and suggestions about what is most important to you as we finalise our set of plans for the 2016/17 financial year.

Together, as a community, we can shape the future of health and social care in the Isle of Man.
