Morning – had planned a trip on the Fisheries patrol vessel the Barrule but the lovely Isle of Man weather put paid to that, still it gave me an opportunity for impromptu Agricultural Policy Workshop where we are blue-sky thinking the direction of agriculture on the Isle of Man including the ADS scheme.  A very positive meeting with a number of research outcomes.
Afternoon – more input with the whole membership of Tynwald for the Programme for Government. A positive response in preparation for April Tynwald.
Evening – some light relief, attended North West of England and Isle of Man Reserve Forces and Cadets Association Third Annual Dinner. This seemed to be more about explaining the opportunities to employers of participation by employees of the scheme. Whilst there is some inconvenience with the absences for training or deployment it appears that employers value reservists as well rounded employees who have additional management skills and statistically have less sick leave.
